All hearing aids are not created equal! There are three catagories of hearing aids: 1) Prescription Digital 2) Over-The-Counter (OTC) 3) Personal Sound Amplifier (PSA) Prescription digital hearing aids are high-end, advanced digital hearing aids (from a major multi-billion dollar corporation) programmed for your exact loss. Cost: $1000 - $4000 each. Best choice if you can afford them. All of the hearing aids we offer on this site are Prescription Hearing Aids. OTC hearing aids are low end analog hearing aids (from a major multi-million dollar corporation) programmed for a generic loss. Cost: $700 - $1000 each. Good choice if you are on an extemely low budget. We do not recommend OTCs, but we realize that there is a need, and can get them: $495. PSAs are not real hearing aids. They are junky little sound amplifiers from China. Cost: $10 - $250 each. Bad choice; virtually worthless for most people. We do not offer PSAs.
